Bright Sky Holdings Launches Media Commerce Systems
Jody Tester named president of the new company
January 12, 2008 – Atlanta, GA - Bright Sky Holdings (BSH) launches Media Commerce Systems (www.mediacommercesystems.com), a new company that provides platforms to dramatically improve business efficiency and create greater revenue potential for the media and advertising industries. Media Commerce Systems web-based applications automate and simplify business processes for traditional and remnant media. The specialized applications for media outlets and advertising buyers enable them to conduct business electronically, saving time and increasing their cash flow.
Historically, ad sales transactions have been paper and labor intensive; plagued with errors, slow processes and waste. Media Outlets have been unable to sell all of their advertising inventory. Now, the number of media venues is increasing and technology enabled interactive media and targeting are becoming more widespread, creating even more advertising challenges.
Unlike other digital agencies and services, Media Commerce Systems provides platforms and applications that automate transactions throughout the entire ad sales process including; the purchase, sale, distribution, and settlement of advertising media inventory. The buying and selling applications interface with existing systems and transaction details are handled more quickly and efficiently.
Jody Tester has assumed the role of President and CEO for Media Commerce Systems. He joined BSH in August as Senior Vice President, New Ventures following a position as Vice President of Client Software and Strategic Ventures for Arbitron.
“Jody is the right person to lead this new business,” said Joe Fabiano, CEO for BSH. “He is an accomplished internet services entrepreneur with terrific leadership skills and his recent experience at Arbitron has given him significant industry insights.”
Through Media Commerce Systems platforms; cable systems, broadcast radio and television stations will be able to sell more advertising while maintaining complete control over their brand, client relationships and the entire buying and selling process. Advertising buyers will use the web-based applications to plan, buy and traffic orders more conveniently and efficiently. Once media outlets register, they will become visible to qualified buyers for agencies and advertisers nationwide. Then they can begin receiving offers electronically and using the application to review, approve and process orders.
“Media Commerce Systems is providing media outlets and agencies with tools that enable them to bring more advertising dollars into traditional radio and television while helping them position for growth in new interactive media,” said Jody Tester, president, Media Commerce Systems. “We are delivering immediate value by helping our customers improve their current business while equipping them for the future, as technology enables more advertising opportunities than ever before.”
